My Old Auntie’s Pie Crust Recipe

What’s your Recipe book/drawer look like? Tons of scraps of paper sticking out? Quite a few recipes you mean to try out? Or maybe a beautifully, organized, typed perfect thick book.

I have some insight for you.

You will be happier if you nail down one pie crust recipe (or settle it that you will buy premade crusts till you die - trust me, there is no shame in that).

When we jump from one new recipe to the next, we never master any of them. So I challenge you. Choose one and master it!

As circumstances had it, many years ago before husband & kids, I had the privilege of being around an old auntie for an entire year. This recipe is hers. We were in apple orchard country. She & I made a dozen pies together—one of the sweet memories of my life. Guess what…I nailed this recipe. And I have never looked back. I never try any other pie crust recipe. This is it…till I die :) So, if you want to claim this one - it’s yours! But promise me one thing…if you fail, you will try again and again and again until you get it. Thanks! And if you want me to hold your hand in this process, please email me. We need more homemade pie crust in this world! :)
